I’ve spent the last 25 years leading engineering, scaling systems, and fixing what’s broken in orgs from startups to $1B+ public companies. Most recently I served as CTO and Head of Product Engineering at Tripadvisor, where I managed a $140M tech budget and a global team of 560+. Before that, I co-founded Citymaps (acquired), ran a suite of global contractor and expansion programs, and led multiple modernization efforts across data, infrastructure, and application stacks.

These days I split time across fractional CTO roles, technical diligence for investors, and strategic advisory work for AI startups and travel platforms. I write here to share my journey into agentic coding, which I believe to be the future of 80-90% of coding in the near future. Tools and tool-chains, techniques, analysis, reviews, case studies, literature surveys. Expect direct takes. No fluff. No hand-waving.
